Heartland Music
May. 25th, 2011 10:38 pmI have been listening to some of the music from Heartland and also asked for some suggestions for songs that people would use to describe a character, and I thought maybe we could open up the discussion a bit more.
I do really like how music adds to an episode or a character.
So if we could, I'd invite everyone to participate in talking about a song that reminds them of the show, a character, an episode, a book...
I know I've mentioned several times how I like Lyndy's songs, but I've also enjoyed Jenn Grant's stuff and Over the Rhine being featured on the show.
I was thinking, personally, that Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man" really suited Jack.
empty_sorrow suggested Alan Jackson's "Country Boy."
Anyone care to add another?
I think I'd even be tempted to try and vid the Simple Man one (I didn't take to most of
empty_sorrow 's suggestions because I'm rather anti-country music, with a few exceptions), but I don't have the right type of files for season one, so that will have to wait because Rising from the Ashes would be a big part of that.
Maybe we could get more vidders to try their hand at some songs?
Discussion, of course, is always welcome. :)
