This week we take a look at the season four episode Lost Song.
Yes, I picked this one for Lyndy's song. Again. I even downloaded it from the Heartland site.

I have been meaning to put together a June challenge theme, so if anyone has suggestions for that, let me know. I'll be working on that and should have it up in the next couple days, so if you have anything you'd like to see, just... say so. :)
Also, CBC has a rerun schedule running from the first three seasons, so you might check those out, just to enjoy again?

Date: 2011-06-06 06:01 am (UTC)And, of course, I picked an episode that frustrated me a lot with the Ty and Amy relationship drama. It seemed unnecessary to break them up. Ty was really hard to watch because he was throwing his life away, but both of them were being kind of... stupid, to say the least.
Tim's trophy. Ugh. I could have done without that plotline.
I did like the moments with the friendship with Caleb and Ty. It was good to see them getting along. Ty needed a friend, but Ashley's right, he also needed a kick in the pants. He needed a reason to pick his life back up. As much as he may have started seeking redemption for his past, getting that caught up in his attraction to Amy damaged him because he can't hold it together without her. He says it in the bar: that he doesn't want to need Amy. And Caleb was right, too, that Ty has a life without Amy.
Jack and Lisa... Unnecessary fighting over the ticket and flying?
I was glad that Amy found out about the claim on Dexter. Nice music choice when she tries to call Ty, but of course Ty has to be in the middle of the fight at the bar. Convenient, I suppose...
It just seemed like season four was a lot of tired relationship drama all over the place, which was what I found so frustrating about it. Still, I did like the way that Caleb and Ashley's wedding turned out, and I liked how they used Lyndy's song for it.
I liked the scene where Amy and Lou come in while Jack is finishing the song.
It was good that Val showed up for the wedding. Ashley's dress was too short, but I love her hair.
Mallory and Ty's dance was cute.
Jack's speech was great. Glad he made up with Lisa in the end.
I hadn't noticed Ty dancing with Lou--and she's the one that taught him to dance, so nice touch there.
Lyndy's song had so much meaning for all the stories going on, as convoluted as they were.
