empty_sorrow selected this episode to watch and discuss. We'll get a schedule of episodes up and running when I start being more organized (*snorts derisively*).
With a good writer, a book of this episode would be better than the episode's excellent visuals and acting.
It was nice to see Ty and Scott sticking together. The way they worked through it, without turning on each other or giving up. Ty never blames Scott and Scott makes sure that he believes in what he's doing, not just in what he did for his leg but also in everything else.
I enjoyed the moment when Tim confronted Jack about how he felt about Ty. Jack's gruff... "He's family." says so much about him and about Ty.
I thought the horse in the stable was Harley, not Spartan. That's how she got the idea to rescue him, right?
One of the things that I didn't really like was the way it almost lead up to a Scott and Lou reconciliation. Don't get me wrong, I wanted the reunion. I came in from the books, and I have never understood why they had to split Scott and Lou apart. Peter's a decent character, I suppose, but I never liked him all that much, and season four... Well, I just really hoped between what Lou said about Scott and what Scott said about Lou that the Peter thing was ending and that they would get back together.
So. I swore I'd never watch an episode. "Ty Borden, a barely reformed delinquent, instead of Ty Baldwin, the sweet, quiet stablehand? What? Amy's hair is blonde instead of light brown? Lou's hair is black instead of blonde? What? No! Never!"
And then I was home alone one day back in May and I saw that Heartland was On Demand and I caved.
This was the first episode that I watched. And I loved it. I didn't even mind that I as the audience knew that Ty and Scott were ok when everyone else was wondering if they were even alive. I liked how calm Ty generally stayed throughout the whole ordeal, especially when he had to stitch Scott up.
I cried, especially at the end when Amy and Ty finally saw each other and hugged. (It really made me want to hug my boyfriend, even though he hadn't been lost in the mountains for days...) The emotion throughout the episode was really well-conveyed.

Over all, though, this is an excellent episode.
