A Bit of Scheduling for Summer Rewatch
Apr. 26th, 2011 10:54 amI've selected an episode for next week's rewatch, and I wanted to let people know ahead of time so they can arrange to get it, make the time to watch, and hopefully participate in the discussion.
Next week will be Rising from the Ashes, followed by Coming Together the week after.
Remember, if you have an episode you want to watch, let me know.
Also: In three weeks, we will do Coming Home.
The reason I'm putting this episode out in the future is that I want to give people a chance to do more than just watch the episode. That's right, I want you to go to your library or book store or used book store and see if you can get a copy of the book. If you've never read it or you need a refresher course, this should be very interesting for you.
Personally, I own copies of the first book in English and French, and I'll probably be sharing some highlights from it when we discuss, but I do encourage everyone to give it a try.
And, yes, I'm aware the book is considered ages 8-12, but I'm... considerably older than that, and my mother has read the books as well, so no one should feel like they're "too old" for this book. :)

Date: 2011-04-27 12:13 am (UTC)Neither of those episodes are based on books, so no worries on not finding them.
They should release the books as ebooks. It would be more convenient.
As I said, I'll share highlights from the books when I discuss any episode based on a book, but even if it was legal to scan in the pages and stuff, I don't have that kind of time. :(
