Summary: A child's comment proves too amusing to let go.
Author's Note: I'm going to confess that I just grabbed something at random and put this together. It probably doesn't make much sense. Just... Enjoy a random and hopefully cute moment between Amy and Ty after Inheritance of the Heart?

Horse Science?
"Mad scientists?" Ty asked, looking over at Amy. "Where did that even come from?"
"Holly is seven. She saw some cartoon or something," Amy said, shrugging. She found his reaction rather amusing. She couldn't help the grin that spread over her face as she watched him struggle with the idea. "Come on, it's funny."
"Says you, Dr. Fleming."
Amy made a face. Usually, he saved that name for when they were fighting, but they weren't fighting. At least, she hoped not. This would be something silly to fight about. Not that people—including them—didn't fight over silly things, but she didn't want to fight with him over this. "You don't think maybe, just a little, you ever wanted to be a mad scientist?"
"I can see what things will be like in October. You'll be crouched over the feedbags, cackling evilly as you add oils and prepare a mix, dressed all in black with a big pointy hat," Ty said, and she started laughing. "Add in how you talk to horses, and everyone around here will think you're nuts."
"They already do," she said, shrugging. "And I'm not the only one that talks to horses. I bet you five bucks you talked to Venture about it first."
Ty frowned. She grinned, pointing at him. "Ha! I knew it! See where I rank, huh? I'm the wife, but you talk to the horse first."
He rolled his eyes. "You were talking to one of your horses at the time, I'll have you know."
Amy smiled. "See? It's not that far off an assumption."
"What, that we're mad scientists?" Ty demanded incredulously. "I thought you hated when people called you a horse whisperer."
"I do," she agreed. She'd never liked the term. It wasn't what she did or what her mother had done. "It's just... amusing. And it's funnier because you dislike it so much."
He sighed, pulling her into his arms and kissing her forehead. "You're lucky I love you so much."
"I know," she whispered. "If I do the pointy hat, will you do the long lab coat? I've got one you can borrow."
"No way."
"I bet I could convince you before October gets here."
"You're welcome to try, Amy."
